Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She was widely credited for initiating the modern study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman is the author of numerous papers and awards to her credit and is the recipient of numerous national and global prizes. She has advised numerous administrations and agencies across the globe on policies and studies pertaining to child victims of the law by the system. She is consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations, such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is a founding member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
